10 MEGAMAN® Energy Saving Lamps Were Selected and Introduced as Efficient Energy Savers
WWF has launched a "Low Carbon Living Appliances Guide" with the aim to encourage the people of Hong Kong to adopt a low carbon lifestyle by reducing their personal carbon emissions – a major cause of climate change – through the wise choice of climate-friendly home appliances.
The Guide is the first of its kind in Hong Kong, providing consumers with handy information on carbon emissions and energy efficiency data for nine popular categories of electrical and electronic appliances including air conditioners, lighting, refrigerators, televisions, water heaters, laptops, printers, game consoles, and rice cookers. In the lighting category, 10 models of MEGAMAN® Energy Saving Lamps (3U220s, CSU415, GSU115, GSU415, MU111i, MU115i, MU120i, W1514, W315DC12 and WL220) were selected and introduced in the Guide as efficient energy savers, leading the lighting industry. Among these models, MEGAMAN® Tubular Series MU111i excels the others in terms of energy savings, carbon reduction and cost savings.
With the help of this Guide, consumers can easily choose the most efficient appliances, as well as get tips on how to make simple lifestyle changes to save energy, money and, ultimately, the environment, such as choosing dimmable lights or using curtains and blinds to cool indoor space.
